Transporter

Transport Drivers play a crucial role in our rescue by helping move cats and kittens safely between foster homes, veterinary appointments, and occasionally other care locations. Most drives happen in the mornings and evenings, as many of our fosters are unavailable due to their schedules. Your support helps ensure our animals receive timely medical care and other essential services. While vet runs are our most common need, transport may occasionally include picking up supplies, helping with intake, or transferring cats between foster homes. Reliable, compassionate drivers make a huge difference, one ride at a time. Proof of a valid Canadian drivers license is required.

BTS Photographer

We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for candid moments and a passion for animal welfare. As a Candid Photography Assistant, you’ll help us tell the story of our rescue by capturing clear, natural photos of our volunteers and occasionally veterinary staff  caring for the cats and kittens in our program.

You’ll use a rescue-provided cell phone for all photography. Use of personal phones is not permitted to ensure privacy, consistency, and proper image handling.

Photo opportunities may take place in a variety of locations, including foster homes, community events, and vet clinics (with special permission). This role is perfect for someone who enjoys quietly observing and documenting meaningful moments in a respectful, unobtrusive way.

Your work will help us celebrate our volunteers, promote our mission, and connect our community to the incredible work happening behind the scenes.

Events

Our adoption and fundraiser events are a great way to connect with the community, share our mission, and support cats on their journey to forever homes. These local events take place a few times a year, always on weekends, and are typically held between Qualicum and Nanaimo.

As an Event Support Volunteer, you may help with setup, greet visitors, assist with adoptable cats, manage donation tables, or support behind the scenes. Whether you're outgoing or prefer quieter tasks, there's a place for you at these events.

While these events are occasional, they’re a big part of raising awareness and funds for our rescue. Volunteers help create a welcoming, positive experience for everyone... human and feline alike.
