Our Story

We’re excited to share some big news - Phoenix Cat Rescue Society has launched on Central Vancouver Island!

As many of you know, this mission is close to our hearts. Led by Rachelle Neufeld, Nicole Dixon and a few other experienced animal lovers, we bring over 20 years of combined animal rescue experience to this new endeavor. We have now completed the early planning and logistics phase, and have various Rescue projects on the go. We have helped over 40 cats and kittens in the local and surrounding community since our Spring 2025 Launch!

Phoenix Cat Rescue Society will focus on helping cats in Parksville, Qualicum, Errington, and the surrounding Oceanside areas. We will also endeavor to assist in farther out communities, including remote locations as our resources allow.

We’d love your help in spreading the word. Word of mouth is incredibly powerful, and your support means the world to us. One of the best ways you can help right now is by following and interacting with us on social media. Every like, comment, and share helps us grow our reach and connect with others who may need our support or want to join us in our mission.

And while our focus is local, your support doesn’t have to be. Whether you're near or far, every bit of encouragement, sharing, and cheering us on makes a difference. You’re helping us build a strong foundation, and that kind of love knows no boundaries.

Thank you for believing in us and helping Phoenix Cat Rescue Society take flight.

We acknowledge with gratitude that we live, work, and rescue on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Indigenous Peoples of Vancouver Island. We are honored to work with many communities across the Island and remain committed to building respectful relationships.
